Frank Karl has been working in intellectual property law since 1995. Since then, he has advised clients from the semiconductor industry, medical technology and telecommunications, among others. Mr. Karl is the author of several studies on patent applications in the field of electro mobility.

His industrial experience includes several years in the electrical engineering industry. Mr. Karl studied electrical engineering with a specialization in theoretical electrical engineering. Mr. Frank’s legal training took place at the German Patent and Trade Mark Office, the Federal Patent Court and in a patent law firm.

He is a registered representative before the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA), the German Federal Patent Court (BPatG), the European Patent Office (EPO) and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).

Stephan J. H. Bauer has been working in intellectual property law since 2013. Since then, he has advised clients in the fields of medical technology, the automotive and defence industries as well as agriculture and forestry, among others.

His industrial experience includes several years in the metalworking industry, particularly in the distribution and production of hunting and sporting weapons. During his mechanical engineering studies at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and the Otto-von-Guericke University in Magdeburg, Mr. Bauer specialized in product development and manufacturing technologies. Mr. Bauer’s legal training took place at the German Patent and Trade Mark Office, the Federal Patent Court, in a patent law firm and at the University of Hagen.

He is a registered representative before the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA), the German Federal Patent Court (BPatG), the European Patent Office (EPO), the Unified Patent Court of the European Union (UPC) and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).
